The grant search in OrgHQ lets you search for government and community grants relevant to your organisation. It is powered by the Funding Centre's grants database and includes federal, state, and local government grants based on your organisation's location. This feature is available on the Pro plan.
How do I find grants?
- Log in to OrgHQ.
- Go to Grants Search in the left-hand menu.
- Refine your search by entering keywords and filtering by provider, location, category, eligibility, and funding amounts. Select Search to see results.
You can also leave all fields blank and select Search to see all grants currently open.
You can sort results by relevance, amount being offered, grant name, closing date, or most recently updated.
Why can I not find a grant I know is open?
Try selecting Clear in the search box to remove some of the filters you have applied. The categories assigned to the grant may not match the categories you selected in your search.
I am getting too many results.
Use the search filters to narrow your results. You can filter by provider, location, category, eligibility, and funding amount to find the most relevant grants.
Why are there no grants in my local government area?
There may be no open grants within your local government area at this time. If the search has an Include closed grants toggle, turn it on to see closed grants. If there are still no results, try widening your search to your state or to grants available nationwide.
Why are no grants appearing when I search by activity categories?
Activity categories are intended to be used in addition to grant categories, not on their own. Make sure you have selected at least one grant category. Not all grants have an activity category assigned, so removing activity categories from your filters may return more results.
Can I apply for a grant from the search page?
GiveNow does not accept grant applications on behalf of funders. To apply for a grant, select the links at the bottom of the grant information page or the Applybutton. You will be taken to the funder's website for more information and to submit your application.
How is the GiveNow grant search different from the Funding Centre?
The GiveNow grant search uses the same data as the Funding Centre but does not include the Funding Centre's additional tools, such as the full grants database, customised newsletters and alerts, a personalised grants dashboard, application management tools, a grants calendar, and central storage for applications and reports.
