Thanking donors for their support is not only good manners, but vital for for donor retention and converting supporters to regular givers.
There are two places on the GiveNow platform to thank donors:
#1. Thank you message on confirmation screen: Immediately after the donor has entered their credit card details and the donation has been confirmed (Pro users only).
In the General section, edit the text in the Thank you message box to customise the message displayed after a donation.
Edit thank you message
- Log in to OrgHQ.
- Go to Manage Causes, under Causes & Donations in the OrgHQ menu and select Edit next to the Cause.
- In the Donation form tab, find the General section.
- Edit the text of the Thank you message to a fresh and authentic message of gratitude. Make sure to keep the Fields that personalise the text for the donor (e.g. First Name, Donation Amount, Organisation Name, Cause Name) in tact. This message can be updated as frequently as you like.
- Select Save to apply your changes and keep editing, or Save and Close to exit.
#2. Receipt email text: The email message is customisable, and there's the option of adding a lengthier message on the PDF receipt attached.
