The platform fee is the only fee charged by GiveNow to organisations. It helps cover the cost of operating the platform, including staff, technology, and security.
GiveNow strives to keep these fees as low as possible.
The “Cover platform costs” option
During the donation process, donors can choose to cover this small fee on behalf of the organisation by toggling Cover platform costs on the final payment page.
- When the option is on (default), the fee is added to the total donation amount.
- When the option is off, the organisation pays the fee instead.
Platform fee rates
Organisations select a GiveNow plan with fees reflective of their chosen tier:
- Starter plan: 1.5%
- Basic plan: 2.7%
- Pro plan: 3.5%
