Registering your not-for-profit organisation with GiveNow is a straightforward process that involves signing up, submitting the required documentation, and receiving approval from the GiveNow team. Follow the steps below to ensure a successful registration.
Note: The GiveNow team will review and approve suitable registrations within 1-2 business days.
Step 1: Sign up and choose a plan
You can skip steps 1 and 2 by going straight to our signup page here.
1. Visit www.givenow.com.au and select For organisations from the top navigation bar.
2. You will be directed to https://about.givenow.com.au, a website dedicated to providing information to organisations interested in GiveNow. Select Sign up.
3. Select the plan that suits your needs (Starter, Basic, or Pro) and select Sign up. You can change your plan anytime if your needs change.
4. Enter your details and select Submit.
5. After signing up, you’ll receive an email from GiveNow asking you to verify your email address. Select the Verify your account link in the email. Once verified, you’ll be directed to the OrgHQ dashboard.
Step 2: Prepare the required documentation
Before starting the organisation and compliance wizard, have the following documents and information ready:

Your organisation's Australian Business Number (ABN).

Certificate of Incorporation (or equivalent).

Proof of your "Authority to Fundraise" in each state where you plan to operate or a valid reason for exemption. More information here.

Note: This is only required if you intend to accept donations on GiveNow.

Names and roles of your Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.

For organisations not registered with the ACNC, digital verification of these individuals is required.

A digital copy of your logo and an image to use as a cover photo.

Bank details:

A digital copy of a bank statement or deposit slip showing your organisation's name, BSB, and account details on one page.

Authorised signatories for the bank account, including their name, email address, and date of birth (this information is encrypted for security).

Step 3: Complete the organisation and compliance wizard
From the OrgHQ dashboard, locate the organisation and compliance section. Select Complete organisation setup to begin the process.
The wizard consists of the following tabs. Ensure each is fully completed:

Public profile:

Add your organisation’s address, public email, phone number, and website.

Upload a logo and cover photo.

Private details:

Enter information about your organisation’s committee members, including roles such as Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. At least two unique individuals must be listed.

Compliance:

Provide your organisation’s legal name and upload any required documentation, such as an Incorporated Association Document.

If you plan to accept donations, indicate this and provide details of any fundraising licences required in your state/territory.

Bank details:

Enter your organisation’s bank account details, including BSB, account number, and a verification document.

Provide information about authorised signatories.

Once all sections are complete, select Save and submit to send the information to GiveNow for review.
Note: Before completing the wizard, you can create drafts of causes, memberships, events, or other listings to preview and explore options. These drafts will be saved until your organisation is fully approved.
Step 4: Await approval
Once you submit the organisation and compliance wizard, the GiveNow team will review your submission within 1-2 business days. If approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email verifying your organisation’s registration.
After approval, your merchant account with our payment processing partner will be activated within another 1-2 business days. This allows your causes and other pages to go live and begin receiving funds.
