Creating a CrowdRaiser on GiveNow is quick and easy — no tech skills required. Just follow the steps below to personalise your fundraising page and start raising money for a cause you care about.
Step 1: Start your CrowdRaiser
Find the organisation you want to fundraise for by searching on the GiveNow home page. On their cause page, select CrowdRaise now.
Step 2: Set up your page
- Enter your email address.
- Add a page title and create a custom URL.
- Choose up to three causes to support with your CrowdRaiser.
Step 3: Personalise your content
- Confirm if you are fundraising as an individual or a team.
- Update the suggested page text.
- Set your fundraising goal, closing date, and whether to display a countdown.
Step 4: Add your visuals
Make your page stand out with a few key visuals:
- Upload a cover photo (this is required).
- Add a profile picture.
- Include an additional image and a video link. You can add one YouTube video per page — paste the URL of a single video, not a channel or playlist link.
Step 5: Create an account
If you were not logged in during the CrowdRaiser creation process, you will be asked to enter your name and choose a password to create a MyGiving account.
Step 6: Preview and submit
- Preview your CrowdRaiser.
- Select Back if you need to make changes.
- When you are ready, select Submit.
You will receive a verification email at the address you provided. Select the link in the email to verify your address.
What happens after I submit?
After you verify your email address, your CrowdRaiser page is submitted to the organisation for approval. Most organisations review CrowdRaiser pages before they go live — this is the default setting on GiveNow.
You will receive an email confirming your CrowdRaiser has been submitted for approval. Once the organisation approves your page, you will receive a second email confirming it is live, along with your unique CrowdRaiser link and QR code.
If your CrowdRaiser has been pending approval for a while, contact the organisation directly to follow up. GiveNow cannot approve CrowdRaiser pages on behalf of organisations.
What happens to the donations?
All donations made through your CrowdRaiser go directly to the organisation you are fundraising for — you do not need to do anything to make this happen. Funds are transferred to the organisation's bank account during GiveNow's regular monthly remittance cycle. Donors receive a tax-deductible receipt (where applicable) automatically at the time of their donation.
Managing your CrowdRaiser
After your CrowdRaiser is live, you can log in to MyGiving at any time to edit your page, view donations, and update your personal details. Share your unique CrowdRaiser link to start collecting donations for a cause that is important to you.
