Custom questions are a tool available on the Basic and Pro plans that allow your organisation to collect extra information from supporters during event or membership purchase forms.
You can decide the format of the response (e.g. multiple choice, single choice, or free text), and once created, questions can be reused across forms. Responses are stored in a central location, so you can easily view and manage them.
Where they appear: Custom questions display in step 3 of the form, after the standard contact details fields and before the final payment screen.
Examples of custom questions
- Membership form: “Do you agree to our constitution?” (mandatory yes/no)
- Event form: “Do you have any dietary restrictions or allergies?” (optional text field)
Important notes
- Custom questions created in this section of OrgHQ can only be used on event and membership forms.
- Donation forms support custom questions, but these are added directly in the cause creation or edit process. They are not stored in the central custom questions section and cannot be reused across purchase forms.
