GiveNow donation forms can be embedded on your website using a snippet of code (an iFrame). Your organisation must be on the Pro plan to use this feature. To see what embedded forms look like, see What do embedded donation forms look like?
Register for GiveNow embed
- Log in to OrgHQ.
- Go to Manage causes, located under Causes & donations in the left-hand menu.
- Locate the active cause that you want to embed on your website.
- Select Embed from the dropdown menu to the right of the Edit button.
- Enter the domain of your website where the form will appear, then select Submit.
- Your request will be reviewed by GiveNow staff. Once approved, you will receive an email with your embed code.
Note: Your embed code is linked to the domain you register with GiveNow, so it will not work on other websites.
Locate and copy the embed code
- Log in to OrgHQ.
- Go to Manage causes, located under Causes & donations in the left-hand menu.
- Locate the active cause that you want to embed on your website.
- Select Embed from the dropdown menu to the right of the Edit button.
- A text field will display your embed code with a Copy code button.
- Paste this code into the appropriate section of your website builder or HTML editor. The form will be active immediately as long as your cause remains approved and active.
Note: Make sure the iFrame is tall enough for each step of the donation process, otherwise scrollbars may appear. The longest steps are often step two (contact details) and step three (custom questions). You can shorten these by removing the address field if it is not required, or by removing unnecessary custom questions.
