If your organisation receives donations outside of GiveNow (for example, cash, or direct bank transfers), you can add them to the total raised on your cause page. This is done through the Amount raised offline field on the Display tab. For more on managing the total raised and progress bar, see How do I display the amount raised on my cause page?
Add offline donations to a cause
- Log in to OrgHQ.
- Go to Manage causes, under Cause & donations in the left-hand menu.

Select Edit for the cause you want to update, then go to the Display tab.

In the Donation Information section, enter the total of your offline donations in the Amount raised offline field. This will start or update a running total.
- Select Save to apply your changes.
Note: GiveNow cannot issue receipts for donations not processed through the platform. Offline donation amounts added in OrgHQ must be receipted by your organisation directly.
Can I add offline donations to a CrowdRaiser?
No. Offline donations cannot be added to a CrowdRaiser page. CrowdRaiser pages are designed for supporters to fundraise securely through GiveNow. For accountability and transparency, supporters should not be encouraged to accept or process cash donations.
If a supporter does receive cash, they should donate the equivalent amount to their CrowdRaiser page using their own credit card. This ensures immediate receipting, the fundraising total updates automatically, and appropriate records are maintained for your organisation.
