This article covers how to resend donations, view integration logs, and monitor statistics for your Salesforce integration. All of these tools are accessed from the Salesforce details page in OrgHQ: go to Integrations, located under Details in the left-hand menu.
Resend donations
If donations are missing from Salesforce (for example, if an opportunity was accidentally deleted, or a donation failed to send), you can trigger a full resync.
- On the Salesforce details page, select Resend Donations.
- Confirm the request.
GiveNow will verify each donation and resend any that are missing from Salesforce. This process can take some time depending on the number of donations. While it is running, the Edit Configuration and Resend Donations options are disabled.
You can also resend a single donation: go to Causes and Donations > View Donations, find the donation you want to update, select View, then select Update Salesforce.
View integration logs
You can monitor and troubleshoot communication with Salesforce using the logs page. Select View Logs on the Salesforce details page.
Each row represents one request to Salesforce. The columns include:
- Operation time: The timestamp of the operation.
- Reference: The object involved (for example, donation receipt, cause URL, contact reference).
- Operation: The type of request (Create Contact, Create Campaign, Create Donation, Update Contact, Update Campaign, Update Donation).
- Action for: The subject (GiveNow Root Campaign, Cause Campaign, Once-Off Donation Campaign, Regular Donation Campaign, CrowdRaiser Campaign).
- Result: Whether the operation was successful or failed.
- Description: Additional details about the operation.
You can filter the logs by keyword, operation action, operation type, result (successful or failed), and date range. Select Clear filter to reset and view the full log.
View integration statistics
For a summary of all data exchanged with Salesforce, select View Statistics on the Salesforce details page.
