The Zapier integration is available for organisations on the Pro plan. Before setting up, make sure your organisation meets the following prerequisites:
Prerequisites
- Organisation is on the Pro GiveNow plan. To learn how to upgrade your GiveNow plan, select here.
- You have a system administrator role for the organisation in GiveNow.
- You have a Zapier account.
- You’ve received an invitation from GiveNow to join the private Zapier integration.

Setting up your first Zap with GiveNow
1. Log in to Zapier:
- Select + Create and select Zaps from the dropdown.
2. Create a new Zap:
- On the Zap edit screen, select the Trigger box.
- Search for and select GiveNow (2.2.0).
- Choose a trigger event, such as New Donation, to initiate the Zap.
3. Link your GiveNow account:
- In the account field, use the Add Account button to authenticate.
- Enter your GiveNow Username and Password.
- Log in to OrgHQ and retrieve your API Key and API Secret from your organisation’s Zapier integration page (Details > Integrations > Zapier).
- Select Continue to proceed to the test step.
4. Test the trigger:
- Use the Test Trigger button to pull a sample record from GiveNow.
- Review the data fields available or click Continue with selected record.
5. Set up the action:
- Select the application where you want to send the information from the GiveNow trigger.
- Configure the action settings for the target application (this varies depending on the chosen app).
- Follow the steps to complete and enable your Zap.
Verifying and managing your Zapier integration with GiveNow
Check your Zap status:
- Verify active Zaps through the View subscriptions option in OrgHQ (Details > Integrations > Zapier > View subscriptions).
- You can View logs to see what information was sent after a triggering event (e.g. a new donation).
Make changes:
- If you need to adjust your Zap, such as changing fields or switching the target application, you can resend the trigger from the View logs page. This will update all active Zaps listening to that specific trigger.
