The Zapier integration is available for organisations on the Pro plan. Before setting up, make sure your organisation meets the following prerequisites.
Prerequisites
- Your organisation is on the Pro plan. To upgrade, see GiveNow plans.
- You have a system administrator role in OrgHQ.
- You have a Zapier account.
- You have received an invitation from GiveNow to join the private Zapier integration. If you have not, email service@givenow.com.au to request activation.
Available trigger events
For a full list of the data you can send from GiveNow to Zapier, see What data can I extract from GiveNow using Zapier?
Set up your first Zap
-
Log in to Zapier. Select + Create and select Zaps from the dropdown.
- On the Zap edit screen, select the Trigger box. Search for and select GiveNow (2.2.0). Choose a trigger event, such as New Donation, to initiate the Zap.
- In the account field, select Add Account to authenticate. Enter your GiveNow username and password. Then log in to OrgHQ and retrieve your API Key and API Secret from Details > Integrations > Zapier. Select Continue.
- Select Test Trigger to pull a sample record from GiveNow. Review the data fields available, then select Continue with selected record.
- Select the application where you want to send the data from GiveNow. Configure the action settings for the target application (this varies depending on the chosen app). Follow the steps to complete and enable your Zap.
Verify and manage your Zaps
You can check the status of your active Zaps and view logs of data sent to Zapier in OrgHQ.
- Log in to OrgHQ.
- Go to Integrations, located under Details in the left-hand menu. Select Zapier.
- Select View subscriptions to see your active Zaps.
- Select View logs to see what data was sent after a triggering event (for example, a new donation).
If you need to adjust your Zap, such as changing fields or switching the target application, you can resend the trigger from the View logs page. This will update all active Zaps listening to that specific trigger.
