The difference between a Cause and a CrowdRaiser is the number of tiers included in the request for a donation.
A Cause page can only be set up by a registered user of the organisation. This will take between 24 to 48 hours as the bank account nominated to receive remittance payments must be registered with our banking partner.
A CrowdRaiser page can be set up by anyone, that is supporters and registered organisation users alike. Once the person who set up the CrowdRaiser accepts the verification link sent in the confirmation email, the link will go live. At any time of the day or night!
It is important to note that both options result in donations being transacted securely on the GiveNow website, with the funds being transferred to the bank account linked to the cause in the regular monthly remittance cycle.
The CrowdRaiser feature is only available for organisations registered for the GiveNow Basic and Pro plans.
