Registering your not-for-profit organisation with GiveNow is a simple two-step process:
- Submit required documentation: Provide the necessary documentation to verify your not-for-profit status in Australia.
- Approval: The GiveNow team will review and approve suitable registrations within 1-2 business days.
Required documentation
Before starting your registration, ensure you have the following documents and information ready:

- Your organisation's Australian Business Number.
- Certificate of Incorporation (or equivalent).
- Proof of your "Authority to Fundraise" in each state where you plan to operate or a valid reason for exemption. Click here for more information.
- Names and roles of your Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. If your organisation is not registered with the ACNC, digital verification of these individuals is required.
- A digital copy of your logo.
- An image to use as a cover photo.
- Bank details:
- A digital copy of a bank statement or deposit slip showing your organisation's name, BSB, and account details on one page.
Authorised signatories for the bank account, including their name, email address, and date of birth (this information is encrypted for security).

Review and approval process
After submitting your documentation, our team will review it and respond within 1-2 business days.
Step-by-step guide
1. Visit www.givenow.com.au and select For organisations from the top navigation bar.
2. You will be directed to https://about.givenow.com.au, which is a website dedicated to providing information to organisations interested in GiveNow. Select Sign up.
3. Select the plan that suits your needs (Starter, Basic, or Pro) and select Sign Up. You can change your plan at anytime if your needs change.
4. Enter your details and select Submit.
5. You'll be prompted to verify your email address and enter additional organisation details, including:
- Contact information for your organisation.
- Legal information, including a digital copy of your 'Incorporated Association Document.'

Committee member details:
- For ACNC-registered organisations, provide the full names of your Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
- For non-ACNC organisations, include their full names, addresses, and digital verification documents.
6. You'll be asked to set up your first cause (fundraising) page, including:
- Cause content: Name, summary, and text.
- Images: Logo (380x380 pixels), cover image (800x310 pixels), and an optional additional image.
- An optional video (link to YouTube).
- Choose a short, relevant URL (up to 60 characters).
- Cause details: Set a target, display options, end date, and donation options.
- Organisation bank details (as noted above).
7. With all these details entered, select Preview and Submit. When you have reviewed your details, select Submit. Our staff will review your application and contact you if any changes are needed.
Final approval
Once approved, you'll receive an email confirming your organisation's registration. The activation of your merchant account with our payment processing partner will follow within 1-2 business days, allowing your cause page to go live.
